Proverbs 4:25 (Amplified)
Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage]
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity].
Matthew 6:33 (Amplified)
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
In both of these passages God is letting us know that if we keep our eyes focused on the main thing which is Jesus, then all of the issues and concerns we face, can be faced with confidence knowing that He will never fail us. We give these things over to God because we know that we are not capable of fixing them ourselves. History has proven with all of us at one time or another, that without Him we are not capable of making sound decisions concerning ourselves, especially not decisions that would bring God glory. The problem is, we are so used to acting on our own understanding without seeking the God Who can and desires to handle our every woe. In fact, He told us in His Word to, “Cast all of your cares upon Me, because I care about you.” Now, maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t believe that God would tell us to cast all ofour cares upon Him, if He wasnt going to handle them. So, beloved don’t sit around depressed, depleted, and disgruntled, as one who has no hope, all we have to do is, seek Him first, and He will do the rest!
Be Encouraged,
